The Best Winter Cocktails

It’s wintertime here in the northern hemisphere, and it looks like we could be bunking down for a cold one this year. Here are my favorite picks for the best cocktails to keep you nice-and-cozy beside the fire this winter season.

1. Spiced Irish Coffee

This is a standard winter recipe…and with good reason too! Just use your favorite coffee and spice it up with a bit of your favorite Irish whisky. For the full recipe, click here.

2. Mulled Wine

This European staple is, sadly, not as popular as it should be in the US. (Though, by all rights, it should be!) A deliciously warm beverage, this fruity concoction has all the loveliness of wine and the holiday season rolled into one steamy cup. If you haven’t tried it before, I highly recommend. Start with this easy recipe for a great slow-cooker mulled wine.

3. Bourbon Spiked Hot Chocolate

There shouldn’t be a lot of convincing needed here, but if there is, try this great recipe.

4. Winter Cranberry Martini

While this drink might be chilled, this martini is guaranteed to get things warmed up. You can find the recipe here.

5. Apple Cider Sangria

And the final pick for the best winter cocktails: Apple Cider Sangria. This is the perfect drink to make for that holiday party, and is sure to be a crowd pleaser. Let’s not even talk about how easy it is to make. Get the recipe here.
